STAYING AHEAD OF THE PACK
Since Wynberg launched its first astro 15 years ago, the facility has been used extensively for hockey and as a multisport surface for almost 3500 pupils annually. Progress is spurred on by necessity, and with increased growth of hockey at Wynberg our players need greater access to astro training and quality match surfaces.
The development of the Astroturf Complex through the addition of a second artificial turf is part of Wynberg’s commitment to maintain our position as a leading sporting campus and continue attracting, nurturing and developing top level sportsmen and women.
MULTISPORT FACILITY
The current field is in constant use throughout the year, its multisport surface being fully playable in any weather conditions. Due to the increased demand for time on the astro, the new turf will provide a much needed additional multisport surface to cater beyond hockey requirements for soccer, cricket, netball and physical education.
